I just purchased property at a tax deed sale (close to where I live) for $15 000. Should I rehab it or simply sell it? What's the better option?

It all depends on the profit you are going to make, but I'd say sell it straight away.

If you can sell it right away for profit why bother with the rehab?

Make sure that there is no redemption period, otherwise you'll simply waste your money in case the previous owner decides to get his property back.
