Well, the more you learn the better, yet they can be from very informative to outright waste of time, if the seminar is free, all you are going to lose is your time.

Start with buying a book or two before going to seminars, read online as much as you can, get all the questions you might have answered, and only then start investing money in tax liens. Yes, some seminars are quite good, it all depends on who and why is holding them though.
