Hi, guys (and girls). Is there a way to buy tax lien or deed without attending the auction?

Yes, you can try and cut a deal with the owner – just pay him a few hundred dollars for a Quit Claim Deed in your favor, and then you pay all the overdues before the auction.

IMO, It's probably not time worthy to waste all this time and energy to find the owner, and try to pursuade him into selling the house for $300. Just buy the tax lien.
