Don't keep your eye on one property only. As many as 40% of the taxes will be paid in the week before the auction – that's right – people will pay their taxes in the last minute, which manes that out of 30 000 properties listed only 18 000 will be left to bid on at the auction.

Start with your county – contact the county's office, ask them to give you a list of the tax lien sales, and to explain the procedures. Then buy a few boooks, do some more reading online, and only then think about investing your cash.
