If I have tax liens on some property and it goes to a foreclosure someone told me that I have to get a “quiet title” through the court. What is that?

If there are other claims on the property or it is under dispute you must obtain “quiet title” from the court in order to take ownership of the property.

An action to quiet title is a lawsuit brought in a court having jurisdiction over land disputes, in order to establish a party's title to real property against anyone and everyone, and thus “quiet” any challenges or claims to the title.
