In case the owner doesn't pay taxes you might foreclose the property, but in some cases that will cost you even more money.

You should always follow the rules of your jurisdiction – failure to follow them will result in loss of claim.

Your money is “locked” – you can sell shares at any time, in the case of tax liens you'll have to wait to get paid.
